President Ilham Aliyev signed on June 24 an order on awarding servicemen of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan Republic with "For the liberation of Zangilan" medal.
In accordance with the order, 3, 435 servicemen, who demonstrated courage and heroism in the military operations for the liberation of Zangilan region, have been awarded "For the liberation of Zangilan" medal.
One general-lieutenant, one general-mayor and 32 colonels are also among the awardees.
